P5.js Coding
Using P5.js I a code-generated typography that creates a random, scattered, and sometimes overwhelming design that mirrors the thoughts associated with ADHD. The size and rotation of the letters are randomized but still follow certain parameters, symbolizing how those with ADHD manage to maintain control amidst chaos.

Exterior Design
The cover design merges my personal experience with ADHD, printmaking expertise, and p5.js. Using code-generated typography with p5.js, the exterior featured as a blind emboss on the monochromatic white exterior, symbolizing the scattered yet controlled nature of ADHD. This tactile element appeals to the senses, adding depth and reinforcing the book’s conceptual connection to the ADHD experience.

Overlapping Text, Typography & CMYK Colors: Inspired by my letterpress experience, the overlapping vibrant typography represents the overwhelming and chaotic thoughts that people with ADHD experience. The CMYK color scheme maximizes the visual impact, reflecting the intensity of the ADHD mind. The overlapping text breaks and disrupts the flow, symbolizing intrusive thoughts that interrupt moments unexpectedly, a hallmark of ADHD.
Interview Section Design: The shifting and bold text in the interview section mirrors the feeling of being interrupted, echoing the thought patterns of ADHD, where focus can suddenly shift or be derailed.
Typography Choices: Utopia, a serif font, and Arizona, a sans-serif, were chosen for their contrasting styles. The legibility of Utopia reflects the desire for clarity amidst distraction, while the Arizona sans-serif typeface plays into the more direct and bold aspects of the design.
